Our summer camp gets kids outside, active, and learning a unique team sport. Whether your child is brand new or already active in sports, they’ll learn the basics, meet new friends from around Indianapolis, and discover if rowing is the right sport for them (and chances are, it is!)

WHY YOUR KID WILL LOVE IT

Here's how our camps will give your kid an amazing summer!

This summer camp is about so much more than just rowing.

Unique way to enjoy the summer!

There are few things cooler than gliding across the water with friends in the summertime!

Easy to make new friends!

Our camp environment and strucure makes it easy for kids to connect, make new friends and become part of a supportive team!

Fun and enjoyable sessions!

Our well-structured sessions feel more like fun adventures and team-building exercises than traditional sessions.

WHY ROWING?

Why should your child learn rowing?

Rowing is the perfect youth sport, low-impact, full-body, and heavily focused on team unity. Best of all, it gets kids outdoors and away from screens, helping them build mental resilience on the water.

A great way to get out in nature

Rowing gets kids out of the house and onto the beautiful waters of Eagle Creek Park.

A safe, low-impact sport

Rowing works 86% of the body while being one of the most safe and low-impact forms of exercise out there, which is great for growing teens.

HERE’S HOW THE CAMP IS STRUCTURED!

Here is how your kid progresses throughout our Summer Camp and Beyond

No matter what week your kid joins, they always start from STEP 1 and progress through the camp as shown below. The longer they stay, the further they advance!

STEP 1 – Learn The Basics

During the first and second week we’ll begin on land with boathouse basics, equipment handling, and stroke technique on the rowing machine, then take your first strokes on the water in an 8-person boat.

STEP 2 – Build Cofindece & Teamwork

During third to forth weeks, athletes will spend more time in the boat learning basic sweep rowing, key commands, and how to row in sync with their crew while building confidence on the water.

STEP 3 – Row Together. Row Fast. Have Fun.

By weeks five and six, kids know the basics, so we’ll pick up the pace and have small, friendly races between crew boats so they can experience rowing fast together.

STEP 4 – Get Even Better

After completing the Learn to Row Summer Camp, your kid can choose to continue with our ongoing programs and keep improving while rowing with the friends they made during camp.

Small Call to Action Headline

Instead of having to record an entire course, we first take the Digital Product Outline created by the Synthesise AI and run a few clients through it as a Coaching Offer. This allows us to test quickly, gather feedback, while getting paid. It’s like your “Research & Develoopment” Phase. We’ll price it at $2,000 to $10,000 so that with only a handful of clients you can already make a significant income.

AFTER THE SUMMER CAMP!

What Happens After The Summer Camp?!

By the end of the camp, your kid will have made friends, learned the basics of rowing, and built confidence. By then, both you and your kid will know if rowing is something they want to continue. Usually, about 60% of kids from our Learn to Row camps join our Middle School team for the fall season.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

We have a family vacation planned. Do we have to sign up for all 6 weeks?

Not at all! You can use our Weekly Registration option to pick and choose the exact weeks that fit your family's summer schedule. We of course recommend the 6-week option because you get the best value from it, but it’s not required.

What kind of kids join the camp, and will my teen fit in?

We have kids from middle schools all over the Indianapolis area! Some are athletes looking for a new challenge, while others are trying a sport for the very first time. Because everyone in the LTR camp is a beginner, they are all in the same boat (literally!) and form fast friendships.

What should my child wear/bring with them to the camp?

Nothing special! Regular workout clothes work just fine: fitted shorts (spandex/bike shorts are ideal so they don’t get caught in the seat tracks), t-shirts, athletic shoes, a hat, and sunglasses. Don’t forget sunscreen, a water bottle, and a lunch so they can refuel and hydrate in the middle of the day.

How safe is it?

Very safe! Rowing is one of the safer sports your teens can do, and we take safety very seriously every time the kids go out on the water. We have multiple coaches with them—both in motorboats alongside them and one coach in the boat the kids are rowing—so they are supported at all times. Life jackets are also available for any kids who want to use them. With so many coaches supervising on the water, we make sure everyone has fun while being safely looked after. We’re also proud to say that we’ve had zero incidents with our middle schoolers throughout all of our Learn to Row camps.

What do you do if it rains?

If the weather's too rough for rowing on the water, we move indoors! We have fun indoor sessions where kids will learn technique on the rowing machines (ergometers), do fitness circuits, and play team-building games.

What happens after the Learn to Row Camp?

By the end of the camp, your kid will have made friends, learned the basics of rowing, and built confidence. By then, both you and your kid will know if rowing is something they want to continue. Usually, about 60% of kids from our Learn to Row camps join our Middle School team for the fall season.

Do I need to do anything else before the summer camp starts?

No. Once you’ve completed payment and gained access to the app, you’re all set. Remember that prices will increase as we get closer to the start of the camp, so make sure to secure your spot as early as possible.
